Touring Bali with The Elysian
The culture, religion and lifestyle of the Balinese people is completely unique to the island - and although this is now a very modern place, these influences still permeate through every aspect of daily life. You only have to note the small temples on every corner and the offerings to the gods by every doorway to know that the integrity of Bali's traditions remains deeply ingrained even in the busiest parts of the island.
To see the real Bali you will need to head inland for a day. Explore the mountains and villages where, it is said, you will encounter a festival celebrating the cycle of birth, death and rebirth almost every day of the year. The landscapes are breathtaking, painted in deep green rice terraces and punctuated with amazing temple complexes.
The mountain village of Ubud is regarded as the cultural heart of the island and where the influence of Hinduism is most apparent in the music, dance, drama and art. This is a very creative place, where the artists and master craftsmen of the island live and work.
If you prefer to use up some energy, Bali also has some amazing activity-based excursions. There is white water rafting, trekking, surfing and mountain biking and even an elephant safari. And Bali is world-renown for the scuba diving around the coast so it's the perfect place to discover the marine realm.
Our Guest Experience Manager will arrange a tour take you to the mystic heart of Bali to show you these and so many more exotic parts of the island. We travel by luxury car in air conditioned comfort and usually with lunch or a picnic included.
